Dragon Fly hunting

Hiya Doggers,

Betch missed me, I'm doing fine. I wanted to share with you some of my dragon fly hunting tips. I consider myself a bit of an aficionado and feel this knowledge is too valuable to keep to myself.

First, you have to be well concealed. I prefer to use natural cover when staking out a spot frequented by the elusive dragon fly; ideally a shallow lake or pond if you're not a good swimmer or a big lake if you're part seal.

Here I am using a boulder for cover, can you see me looking for dragon flys?

Alternately you can use trees and bushes to the same effect.

And at just the right moment, dash out from cover and begin the chase

At times you will need to get down and dirty, which is so much fun one could forget about the dragon flys!

Deep water running / bounding is an essential hunting skill

As are aerial tracking skills.

Quick water entry and exit techniques

Rapid direction changes and little regard for repetition

Good wholesome fun for any dogger!
