Snow Magic's S'No Magic at Our House

So last night something my pack people call the "Pineapple Express" went through our Valley. I heard the wind blowing in the night but I was too comfy lying on the bed to get up and bark at it. This morning when Ecco & I got to go out in the vineyard for an explore it was magic - all the snow had disappeared. There were lots of wonderful things to smell and the ground had all thawed out so lots of good stinking things to find. The mud was so squishy between my toes and when I ran it even got all over my tummy. It was great!

When Ecco and I got bored we barked at the back door to come inside for cookies. My pack lady, Kathryn, says this is where everything went tragically wrong. I don't understand her problem, but here's what happened. My big guy, Ian, was in the kitchen watching some gold medal hockey game. Instead of closing the door to the kitchen before he opened the backdoor, he just let us in without really taking his eyes off the TV. I heard Kathryn call out from another room that he should wipe off our paws in the mudroom, but I don't think that Ian was paying any attention. So, Ecco and I got to run all through the house and made muddy paw prints all over. It was soooo fun! For some reason Kathryn didn't seem to be very amused when she came out of her computer room and saw what we had done. I don't understand why she has this thing about clean floors, but I heard her muttering some really bad words about Ian as she was mopping up the floors!

Here are some pictures of what we looked like and what we did. You have to imagine that we were much, much worse when we first came in as by the time Kathryn saw us and took our pictures we had been all over the house and some of our mud had come of on the hardwood floors, the tile floors and even on the carpet in the bedroom. Still it was a fine job of house messing if I do say so myself!
