moves

Here they are dogs, a primer on some JJ moves.

Taunt & Tease: This is my specialty; with minimal distraction (for me) I can usually get any dog to play with me. I slowly escalate my teasing and taunting until I get a reaction. If I do it right, I build in small steps so as to not overdo it and release a dogzilla J

Hips check: Not quite your hockey move, but a solid push from my hip usually used in the initial taunt & tease stage. This is a great trigger to get those dogs that hate being pushed to play.

Yin & Yang: this is a coordinated hip check move that requires a good partner. You gently circle pushing your hip into your partner who is standing along side you doing the same, but facing the other way. My pal Mala is good at this, we could win Olympic treats in this pairs event.

Jaws: every dog knows this one, open wide and keep your jaws between you and your opponent. It is so uncool to try to snap at your jaws partner. Pretty basic but can still be fun with a good partner.

Wheelie: can be tricky, but balance on your back legs with nose up and front legs tucked in. Monkeys like this, so I indulge mine J

Mustang: this is when I run side by side with another dog and play bite at the back of their neck. Only a few dogs push me to my limits, and that’s FUN!

Judo flip: when running in the lead spot, I drop to the ground quickly and roll onto my back and kick up with my legs pushing the other dog up in the air. Judo flip!

Bronco: I save this move for when I am on leash and can’t get to something really exciting or alluring. I think I first tried this move in Tisol to get to the treats rack. I was a show stopper! With slight tension on the leash, jump straight up from all four legs and slightly forward, the effect is hilarious as the leash is still under tension and I’m in the air! Yee-haw!

Buzkashi: this is a cool move borrowed from the crazy Afghani horseback sport similar to polo. Right. So, what I do is while I am running beside a dog about my, at just the right moment I jump up and over the back of the other dog landing at full speed on the other side. Imagine the surprise element for everyone watching! Ultimate cool.
