new friends!

Hiya Doggers,

Sorry for the silence recently, uncharacteristic I know, but I've been busy.

You see my monkey, pack leader and I recently moved from one home to another. I'm not completely sure why, but I think it revolves around the co-concept of "mine" and "not-mine". As far as I am concerned, "not mine" is irrelevant unless I want it to be mine.

So we have a new house we're making into a home and there is some work to do. First, my pack leader got rid of the nice sofa in crushed blue velvet, and the left hand corner was mine. MINE. That is where my blanket goes, and me under it. The blanket was also MINE. It is also where we all sat together as a pack every evening and I felt so secure. We need another sofa and I am told one is coming but I have to wait. I don't like waiting, I'm an in the action hound.

My bed has also changed and it is weird. I am still sleeping by the bed, but everything is more open and exposed now. I miss having a nice safe and secure corner for my bed. The bed is MINE too.

There are good things about the new home. My toe nails make a cool tick-tick-tick as I walk on the wood floors, and there are heated floors in some rooms that warm my bum when I sit.

But best of all are my new friends! Next door I have a buddy named Ogwen (I'll have my (MINE) monkey check the spelling on that) and he has started giving me treats now and then, I know we're going to be good friends when he gets to know me. There is also my new 6 year old playmate dynamo Maisie who lives downstairs. She was playing frisbee with me, tug of war, catch and all sorts of high energy games with me. It was so much fun, almost like going to the park. Unlike the park, Maisie is not a dog, so I don't have to worry about her biting my tail or ears.

I can't wait to play with you guys again!
