Boyz'N the 'hood

Sundays are good days!

This is the day my monkey and I go do all sorts of fun things together- that's my new fav word.

Together... that's stuff we do as a family. And now family includes Duke too. I'm adjusting to my role as a big brother, slowly but he's a cool guy like me so its pretty easy!

So, today we started off with a quick walk for Duke while I slept in, then breakfast and off to coach swimming. I do this 'cause Duke doesn't know about swimming like I do. When I've taught him to swim vizsla style, we'll coach as a team.

Then it was off for a trail run. I tried hard to be the pack boss and force the group to my pace but I couldn't when they all urged me to run faster, it was so much fun!

Then we went to the beach!

Here's Duke, he's often missing the action looking the wrong way, but I wear a bell now to help him get into and stay in the game. My monkey also has one.

Then he U-turns and gets going again.

Here I am chasing Duke- I don't know how he did it but he has the stick I want...

Hmmm, so much for that. Anyway, here's Duke trotting along happily. See- he's off leash and listening pretty good. Um, better than (cough!) I do when I'm being a brat...

He's not 100% sure about the waves, he'll figure it out though!
